WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (PA-04) released the following statement on the recent earthquake in Haiti:
“The people of Haiti face the damages of another earthquake — and the devastation is tragic.
We must do everything in our power and expertise to assist and help rebuild the town of Petit Trou de Nippes and all affected surrounding areas.
I am confident in President Biden’s response and the capability of USAID to meet Haiti's needs with the urgency and the humanity that this natural disaster demands.
The families who have lost loved ones, the communities affected, and the country of Haiti are in my prayers.”
Rep. Madeleine Dean is a mother, grandmother, attorney, professor, former four-term member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, and U.S. Representative for the Fourth District of Pennsylvania.
