As part of the annual budget process, Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (PA-04) recommended 15 projects to the Appropriations Committee for inclusion in the 2023 Fiscal Year Budget. For the second year in a row, the Appropriations Committee has accepted Community Project Funding requests from Members of Congress.
"Our budgets defines and reveals our values — so I am beyond thrilled with the Community Projects we were able to get funding for in the 2023 budget," Rep. Dean said. "This year, I am excited to recommend 15 new projects to the committee that address equality, education, health, career opportunities, infrastructure, and more in Montgomery and Berks Counties. I look forward to working to ensure their inclusion in the final budget.”

These recommendations now go to the Appropriations Committee for review. Successful projects would receive funding as part of the 2023 Fiscal year, which runs from October 1, 2022 – September 30, 2023.
