Glenside, PA — Today, Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (PA-04) announced Pennsylvania has added 16,300 manufacturing jobs in 2021, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Congresswoman Dean helped local manufacturers create and restore jobs by passing the American Rescue Plan and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act in 2021. This month, Congresswoman Dean helped pass the America COMPETES Act, which will continue to help Pennsylvania create even more jobs and strengthen our supply chains and start making more critical domestic products here in the U.S.

“Today’s manufacturing Jobs report shows that our economic plan is working for Pennsylvania and for our district,” Rep. Dean said. “Yet, our work to strengthen the economy is far from over. The bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the America COMPETES Act will build off the momentum of the American Rescue plan by creating millions more jobs by rebuilding American infrastructure and investing in American manufacturing."

Under President Biden, the U.S. has created 375,000 manufacturing jobs and a total of 6.6 million jobs nationwide.
