WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Madeleine Dean (PA-04) introduced a resolution designating March 29th as “Vietnam Veterans’ Day.”
“Montgomery and Berks counties are home to many selfless veterans — including Vietnam War Veterans — and Vietnam Veterans Day will help us recognize their noble sacrifice to our nation,” Rep. Dean said. “ Our heroes deserve this day – to honor, remember and lift up our Vietnam troops.”
More than 58,000 members of the Armed Forces of the United States lost their lives in the Vietnam war, and more than 300,000 members of the Armed Forces of the United States were wounded in Vietnam. Vietnam Veterans’ Day would honor these lives.
