Collegeville, PA – Last night, Rep. Madeleine Dean (PA-04) hosted an in-person town hall at IBEW Local 126. Since the beginning of the pandemic Rep. Dean has held multiple telephone town halls and a drive-in town hall. Last night’s event was the first in-person town hall. Topics included the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the Build Back Better Act, voting rights, higher education, climate change, the economy, and more.
With an attendance policy that required proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event, as well as a mask requirement, Rep. Dean ensured people could gather together safely. The town hall was also available live on Rep. Dean’s Facebook for those who wanted to participate virtually. Constituents submitted questions prior to the event for Rep. Dean which she answered alongside questions from viewers on Facebook and in the audience.
"As we continue to navigate the pandemic, it was energizing to gather safely in-person for a town hall and to hear people’s thoughtful questions,” Rep. Dean said. “Thank you to everyone who joined in-person and online. We covered a wide range of topics, and I hope you all learned as much as I did last night.”
