WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (PA-04) signed on to a letter led by Reps. Grace Meng (D-N.Y.) and Chrissy Houlahan (D-Pa.) requesting the Biden administration to evacuate more Afghan allies from Afghanistan. The letter addressed DHS Secretary Alejandro Moyorkas and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken  


“We have a duty as a nation to help all our Afghan allies — their dedication helped us achieve our original mission and we cannot leave them behind when they desperately need our support,” Rep. Dean said. “I join over 80 of my colleagues in this appeal and applaud Reps. Meng and Houlahan for leading this letter to be sure the Biden administration is prioritizing the safety of our Afghan allies.” 

Rep. Dean is hopeful that the concrete steps detailed in this letter will be fulfilled by the Biden administration with efficiency and urgency.
